This laptop is part of the HP Pavilion DV6000. It is designed to attract the mass market. It is a very stylish laptop with a glossy finish - designed to attract the same customers who might consider a Sony or an Apple laptop. It has a number of components and high-end multimedia features at a price that is lower than the comparable Dell laptop.
This notebook has a very nice stereo speakers from Altec Lansing. They are located above the controls. But keep in mind that if you close the top the sound can get off.
This laptop also has a 1.3 megapixel camera built right in, and two microphones.
There is a row of buttons above the keyboard that launches various features like the media player volume control and playback. The keys are good, but they do a really annoying sound when you press them (and you can not really Turn that either).
This laptop weighs just over 6 kilos less - than the comparable Dell laptop. When you add the AC adapter brings the whole thing up to a little over 7 pounds.
